The tone on this thing is soooo nice. Now I understand what all the fuss is about! The neck pup is my favorite for sure. Here it is again all hooked up.

    Yes, that's very nice...
It's a great compliment to the Telecaster! The sound is different due to the multiple unique design aspects that separates the two guitars body, neck and pickups.
    Now you're really in business...
    Lucky you!

SWEET! I like the fact they didn't go with the original 7 1/4" radius and tiny frets (of course I'd prefer 12" and jumbos LOL). They meant for these things to be played. That's a great looking guitar, one of the coolest incarnations of the Stratocaster.

    That looks familiar ...
I agree. The Pure Vintage '65 Grey-Bottoms have a great full, thick sound to them. Mine was actually a bit too dark for me so I took the chance of trying a 500k pot for the Neck & middle p'ups, and I'm glad I did!

That is one fine first Strat, my friend - Congratulations!

Wow; what a beautiful Strat! Congratulations. My friend owns a real '62 strat in the exact color combo. IMHO, it's the best color combination. Good luck.

    That is your first?

Geez dude, you went right to the best guitar the shop floor produces…IMO.

I have a AO tele that is the best tele I have ever played. I am a real fan of the AO line.

I think the AO, guitars deserve much better pickups though. And can hang with the cs guitars with better pickups.

Great color, and nice guitar man.

Working on a similar color here. Shot the color, but it’s been way to humid to shoot clear, so at a standstill till winter…and drier air.

"Go big or go home" I always say :D. I'm mostly an acoustic player, but started playing 'Lectric a bit more lately. I've had my '98 Tele for about 15 years and picked up a Gibson ES-339 a few years back. Between them, I can get just about any sound I need so never really thought about a Strat until recently. Several folks on this site recommended the AO 60s, but they are hard to find. This one popped up on Reverb, so I grabbed it. I figured if I didn't like it, I could easily sell it. After playing it, I'm thinking I might be selling the others.

Thanks! I'm really digging it. The louder I play, the better it sounds!

I've read about swapping Pots. Not sure if I need to. I seem to be able to get what I want from the EQ on my DRTM.
