please go away.
A BIG thank you to all that served.
Thank you, Brother.
Thanks for the thread man. It's actually a treat to see how many of the regular forum contributors served as well. I was a paratrooper in the 82nd ABN from 99-03. Did one tour in OIF in the 2/325 AIR as an Infantryman during the initial invasion. Being a ground pounder was one of the best jobs I've ever had. Where else do you get paid to shoot full auto weapons, throw grenades and work out? All I had to pay for was beer and cover charge at the clubs lol.
Swampash is entitled to you his opinion, which is why we did what we did. His opinion may be misplaced in this thread, but he still entitled to it.
I'd be curious to know what does instill gratitude in you then?
Which, oddly enough is one reason many have served...
yes, he is. and so am I. it is my opinion that he should not badmouth our men and women who served or are serving.
I'm gonna go ahead and shut my piehole now.
yes he is- and yes it was
I'm also entitled to my opinion of what he had to say- which I will keep to myself in the interest of civility
I kind of was puzzled that guy disparaged the intent/purpose of my thread.
Meh, chalk it up to the internet, where everyone has an opinion and can't rest until you know it.
don't worry about him man. we all appreciate this thread. don't let one person ruin it for all of us.
Yes for sure. Thank you to each and everyone of you who served this great country.
Are you the guy that spit on me at ORD in 1969?
Those of us that served appreciate the good words. Too many ways this one can go off the rails at this point.
