I received two sheets of Forbon today. I bought pick cutter that cuts up to 2mm. I tried to cut one...I bent the cutter lol

User error or bad quality? :D

I need to find a way to cut through it

You need something stronger, a machine probably to cut that.

Someone on this site surely has that type of machinery, you can ask for help. You send them the sheets and they send you back picks.

Maybe @Bodean as he winds pickups. The shipping back and forth is more expensive than the sheets

    I don't have a laser cutter. I think @henderman does.

If you get it worked out, I would like to buy one from you, just to try. My friend at the local mom and pop makes his own picks out of milk. It’s like $30 for the kit. I didn’t like em though.

Yep, Milk. Some sort of chemical reaction takes place be tween the milk and some thing else in the kit. When your pick wears down, you put it back in the mold and add milk again. It’s so weird that I never forked out the money for a kit. They were a little bit too pliable for me.

You might try the pick punch again. Squeeze it but not hard enough to bend it, then give it a couple solid hits with the side of your other hand, right over where the punch is.

Is that a real "Pick Punch" brand? I have one that's probably 20 years old, and it is very solid. The opening for the material opens on the pivot end, not toward the handles. I don't think this one will bend with any force I can apply with my hands.

It looks like pickpunch.com is still selling the type I have:

hey omar, i just looked up forbon and it can be cut by a laser engraver/cutter. try to find someone locally who has one, most sign and trophy shops have one.

i have one and would gladly cut you some picks but the shipping back and forth could be costly and take some time!

Thank you! I wish I knew that before. I’d have bought and shipped the sheets directly to you as I bought them from there.
    They are indeed :)
