My first iPhone was...the first iPhone. Still have it around here somewhere.
My second was the iPhone 5S, which was compact and superb until Apple decided to obsolete it.
Current is the iPhone X, which will likely last me until they obsolete it as well. We got two of them for free (well, with the trade-in of the 5S, which somehow ended up with me in all the shuffling around) thanks to a TMobile promo.
My new iPad Pro 12.9" has 5G capabilities built in, but I really haven't needed it (the iPhone X can work as a hotspot, but there's so much WiFi out there that I haven't used that potential much at all). Yet.
I have a samsung galaxy note 20 ultra. Just because. It takes really good pictures and can record video in 8k.
Fellow Stratters: For phones, when we need "new" ones - our family uses Swappa.com and buy used ones that are on the network we have. Saves tons of money and the phones are usually well described.
Joking aside, I use a OnePlus 8T.
Just a Samsung something ala Tracfone. It rarely gets used. I've a week or so of minutes stored up and...
Did I mention that my phone rarely gets used...?
Phones aren't very high on my list of things that I want to give any thought to.
Motorola razr v3xx. I win.
I was there in the beginning, used to lease car phones for $1,500 a mo plus $1.00 a minutes after 100, Added in Big Bulky Bag Phones. Became a NexTel sub dealer, love those 2 way phones, personal use ones were $10.00 a mo for staff, commissions were great, sadly we all went out of business. Now retired, I have just A OnePlus N10 on Metro PCS, we have 4 lines costing me $100.00 for unlimited everything
iPhone 8 simply because it’s still in excellent condition and working properly. I want a new phone, but will wait until I need one.
Too bad that site doesn't offer deals on guitar gear. I just ordered a NEW-In-Box Unlocked Galaxy S9 for the same price many of the MINT condition Swappa S9's are going for. But Swappa looks to be a good site for future purchases...thanks for the lead on that site.
I'm sticking with "5G network compatability" until 5G proves itself to be all it is touted to be. To get full 5G capability, you need a 5G phone and a 5G service plan. So I'm replacing my ancient Galaxy S4 which is a 3G phone with 4G network compatability, with a Galaxy S9 which is a 4G phone with 5G network compatability .
iPhone SE 2016. Plan to run it into the ground. I'm on my second case for it, probably need a new case in about 6 months. As far as I know, it's good for 5G.
First smart phone ~2011 was a Galaxy. Batteries became an issue as they were being phased out. Tried a newer one briefly before I got my current phone. Hated it, couldn't block calls unless I got some sort of third party software. Nope. That ain't going to cut the mustard.
No desire for the latest or greatest. I want one small enough to fit in my pockets. I don't play games, I don't watch movies or TV on it. Heck, I rarely get calls on it, most of my communication is by text now, which works for me.
I do not, and have never owned a cell phone...
... and.. my employer just replaced my flip phone and gave me an iphone 11. Sorry Circles!
there are still a few phone booths in my town.
I'm not joking
Greetings fellow Luddite!
Love that phone. Perfect size in my opinion.
