Been thinking bout getting one o them lectronical drum sets for a bit.
Yeah, I miss it
Checking out c/l ads a guy has a set listed but a little more than my cheap azz wants to spend.
Nuther guy I ain't seen in 30 years (he really is a fantastic guitarist with vox). Saw my ad on bandmix.
Called me up
Him + a bass player (ditto ditto) trying to put a simple fun band together.
So I get back in touch with Mr lectronical and we start negotiatin.
Which led to

Guess I'll be playing a little drums again.

My drummer wife only has a Roland V drum set, no more real drums, and she really likes it...including the ability to control and limit volume.

I like it too - no more mics all over the place, I get a nice stereo output of over a dozen sets of well-recorded drum sounds.

Some of those sets are fantastic, the ability to adjust the tension and rebound of the skin and the pitch independently, volume control, everything. Just being able to custom tweak them for any situation, it's almost like cheating.
And they eliminate the bane of drummers everywhere - the pissed off neighbor.
If I ever went back to playing drums I'd go electronic for sure.
