he's my favorite uncle... ma hopes his bad habits dont rub off me, but i hope all his good ones do. srsly i listen to the szabo/womack record 2 or 3 times a month, but for two years it was the only thing i played in my car... i love every piece of that music, and then of all things, the great god of dumb luck (regular offerings made often) put in my path a 2 record set of Phillip Upchurch playing instrumentals of pop tunes etc, and he's like womack and szabo in the same body...funny, growing up i'd see Szabo records in the used bins of stuff i rarely had any interest in (ray coniff singers, johnny mann stand up and cheer, you know - might be genius stuff in there but i'll never know) so i just never bothered... now he's a major guidepost...
I've always loved that tune, nice rendition Chris. Still play it pretty regular just because its fun.
Not feeling that well today. That lifted my spirits a bit. Thanks. And that is my last listen for the day.
It is one of those straight forward Rhythm changes tunes that keeps you grinning...either listening or playing. Thanks to all who listened (again).
