Hi all, have been a frequent visitor to Strat-Talk about 18 months since I got my Player Strat in late 2021 and have greatly enjoyed digging through the vast troves of knowledge and banter here.

With the C-word and a 6 month old son I needed a new hobby in late 2021 as my then passion of photography (mainly film since 2018) had gone on hiatus for varying reasons (i.e. lockdowns, time, chemicals etc). So I bought the cheapest new Strat I could find online and site unseen which turned out to be a 3TSB and I've been slowly learning to play ever since.

I also picked up a Player Tele out of sheer curiousity from reading too much TDPRI a few months later and enjoy the twang but would definitely pick the Strat if I could only choose one!

Anyway looking forward to interacting with you all on here - I've got some questions coming as I have the green light to add one more guitar to the collection!

Cheers,

Paw

And before you ask, obligatory photo here - went to black plastics + an American string tree for reduced string break angle on the strat and a Gotoh vintage bridge on the tele ;) Also another pic showing my next planned mod to my strat to see if I dedicate a new guitar to it.

Thanks for the warm welcome all - interesting to see where y'all from (sorry, couldn't help myself) as the last forum I was active in a few years ago was a predominantly Aussie one for French cars.

Welcome to crazy town! Beautiful guitars!
@Nadnitram I think I know roughly what I'm getting into as I've been lurking a while, it's seems like it's just the right amount of crazy here to keep it interesting and entertaining + a great bunch of people and a pretty positive vibe :)
