    Hi,
I just purchased a loaded 2019 elite Strat pick guard with gen4 noiseless pickups. I’m thinking of getting a 2019 tobacco burst MIM Strat.

My question is, will the gen 4 pickups fit into the sss routes of a mim Strat. I would think that they would fit, but before I buy a MIM I just wanted to know for sure.

    Thanks for the help.

My MIMs are routed HSH so 3 singles should be no problem.

The N4's are taller than normal......I don't know if they would fit.....

@Harreh - what MIM model do you have or are looking at??

Doesn't tell me anything! Is it a Player Series? Vintera? Vintera modified?

I think the gen 4 pickups work in all standard depth pickup cavities, which the mim has, I think?

It's only the models with shallow routs that have any issues.

I had a set in my 2014 Am Std and they did fit, just, but don't expect them to go as low as flush with the pickguard because they will hit the bottom of the cavity if they're that low.

So I got a sss Strat. When I took the pick guard off it was routed HSH!

You are right about the depth. The rear pickup won’t go down any from the factory out of the box setting. My luthier is going to route the pockets a little deeper tomorrow then I should be all good. I don’t play much lead, so I’m generally on the neck and middle anyway.

    Thanks for the info guys.
