Born yesterday or so I’ve been told
Yeah , but you were up all night.
I'm 16, so one of the youngest here. I've definitely learnt more about guitars than I've taught.
Stick with me sunshine.. from here-on-in.. the only way is down..
I'm 41 and I thought I was one of the youngest on here, judging by the wealth of experience knowledge that I don't have, but Jeeezzzz, 28? Did you lie about your age to get on here?
Some of the folk on here are positively "circling the drain". We must squeeze all that knowledge out of them before it's gone for good!
Edit: just saw @HighwayStar106 is only 16. I've owned some of my guitars longer than that. Now I feel really old.
I'm 44 so I guess that is middle age but I feel like I'm 20. I still Mtn Bike 3-4 days a week and love hitting big gap jumps and step ups, I ski 15-20 days a year and just like biking spend as much time as I can jumping off things and skiing tree lines. I seem to be far better at all my hobbies now than when I was in my teens and 20's. If this is getting old then I say bring it on!
Yeah, the 40s is when we start getting good at stuff. Assuming we'll keep getting better, imagine when we're in our 70s- we're gonna be awesome! ...or most likely forgetful and in need of a nap...
I’m 29 but in a lot of ways I’m in my 60s with my music and film tastes. I recently worked at this old hippie eccentric guy’s house who was probably in his late 50s. We went toe to toe for probably half an hour on late 60s music and psyche bands. Eventually he just stopped and said “how do you know all this stuff?” Lol I enjoy surprising people like that. I told him basically my whole teens were spent listening and playing that era of music while other kids were out going to parties. Haha
Sorry kids, adults only...
Yep I'm in exactly the same Age boat (just turned 38) , the one that may start to sink soon the older it gets lol
I trust that's a round you're getting in there and not all for "personal use"...?
My kid soured on the place very rapidly. He said it was kinda stuffy and smelled funny.
Yeah... ...I'm sorry about that.
I am middle-aged in human years (yes, I plan to live a long time ..!) but am young in guitar years.
Well, we are pretty humorous at times.
I think he felt about this place the way I thought about being at my grandparents and having to watch Lawrence Welk.
The only generational gap I see is from non musicians. The music really ties all ages together whether or not we like the same kind of music. We can talk about the same things, experiences, and learn from each other. Its bonding over a common element in which all of us are passionate about. Its a really beautiful thing!!
I think it is another appropriate moment for this image yet again (one of my personal favs )...............
You're a very trusting person... A round? I'm a Yorkshireman.
Here's myself on the left and my best friend/lead guitarist in the band/guy who taught me theory and how to play on the right... he's 52, still rocking it and partying with us.. maybe takes a nap in the van after our out of town shows though
