When you learn to spell and pronounce English words correctly, we can move on to D'Addario...

Italian words get butchered all the time by English speakers. I’m more offended by the mid-western pronunciation of mozzarella and bruschetta.

Dee-addario is technically correct anyhow since the apostrophe replaces the “I” as in “Di Addario”. In Italian, “Di” is pronounced “Dee”.

That's because the BS meter is showing +6. It's an inverse relationship.

Imagine if this was actually a problem

we have bigger fish to fry than this little carp

The idea of a unified language is straight outta some sci fi story

All regions have different ways of saying things.
In Canada you can easily tell someone from the west coast apart from the east coast within the first two words that come out of their mouths.

    main thing is.
If you WANT to understand someone. You can.... if you WANT to pretend you can’t... you can also do that... but when it comes down to humans... we kinda have to pull for each other and attempt to understand one another. The ego is a toxic thing and that tends to push against humanity growing.
    This is an example

being devil’s advocate here, but if you say as humans we have to pull for eachother then the responsibility surely lies with BOTH parties doing all they can to make sure communication occurs, not just putting the onus on the receiver to chose to understand (or not)?

    Yes it is.

In high school, my buddy and I promoted the fictious candidate Portia Carrerra for class president until the Chair of the English department caught on.

Had I the means to afford one, I wouldn't care if the guy who sold it to me called it a Porsh, a Porsha, a Porshay, a Porch, or a POS, I'd still drive the thing......................:D:D
