    I took a chance and bought one; the amp is junk but the guitar is decent. No complaints at all.

    I'm sure it needs a setup, tuners are probably mediocre at best, fixed saddles? Baring a major flaw, like a crooked neck angle, it looks like a decent platform for a playable guitar. At this point, we've definitely hit a threshold low in pricing (as predicted here and elsewhere), that a full kit is now less than a decent meal for two. I'm still predicting we will start seeing these packages as a super-size option at McD's, like a happy meal toy for old guys...;)

    A few years ago I would have dismissed it, but I've since changed my thinking. It all depends on your point of view; if it plays and feels good in your hands, and it sounds good, then it is good.
