Man! Nice gear, but I thought the meaning of "go to" was that one guitar and that one amp that you usually go to. Not the room where you go to play :p

In the spirit of my interpretation of go to.

I'm referring to the tools you use regularly for any given job.

You need at least one more strat in there. I'll trade you one for that es335.

You're borderline having to call this a "drive-to" rig...

My go to guitars are the ones that I know will always get it done. I have 9 guitars, and they are all very cool in their own ways, but I could grab any one of these 3 on my way out the door, and never worry if I picked the right one.

Amps are different for different situations.

For at home practice, and noodling, my Mustang I is king. For the band, my Bassman is the chosen one.

If I had to grab one guitar and one amp to go play a gig this afternoon, without much thought at all, it would be this combo.

    ;)

Don't you know that the interwebz says that Crate amps suck? ;)

    I have heard that, indeed.

Every Crate amp I have owned, however, has been well above average.
My Crate V18 is the very best tube amp I have owned.

And I have owned a few.

It would definitely be my Strat. But I need a portable amp bigger than my Micro Cube but smaller than my Katana Artist...

I have this terrible temptation to get a SS Crate amp - or maybe even better, a Line 6 - and replace the guts with a 5E3 setup. Just to astound people when I turn it up.

I have a Crate V33 head and the matching 2x12 cab. It is an excellent amp with lots of headroom. It's kind of Voxy sounding.
