I owned an LGX from about 97 (bought new) until a few years ago and it was my main player for at least half those years. As has been said, the quality is superb given the price. I wouldn't hesitate buying another Godin if something I was interested in came my way.

Here's the guitar paired with my PRS (Godin is panned to the left)

I have a Godin / Seagull S6 Original. It is a VERY nice acoustic.

An instructor I had back in Kansas always wanted to play it whenever I took it to a lesson.

It punches way above its price range.

I used to see them somewhat frequently, but I don't go out much anymore, so haven't seen one in a while. I never played one, but from what I could tell, they were well regarded in the USA.

I have a nylon string Multiac that plays and sounds incredible.
It only take a little research to find out that Godin is one of the biggest guitar manufacturers in the world, and with seven plants in Canada, that's not hard to believe. They had an assembly center in America not long ago, so you will see models listed as "built in USA".

Haha I live in North Dakota (only 1 hour from the border) and this is very accurate for the people around here as well lol except for them it's farming, if they aren't drunk and watching the UND hockey game, they're farming around here lol most of the corn, grain, and canola that the US uses comes from here actually.

I have a Seagull S6 that's the nicest sounding acoustic I've ever played. Always been intrigued by their solid bodies, but have never seen one in the flesh.

I love them. Better than any American guitar. Cheaper too used. Some are more expensive than a American.

Godin can be higher in price as a Gibson, Fender, and a PRS or cheaper. It depends on the model of guitar.

I had a Godun Artisan St1 for a long time. Beautiful guitar, built to great specs. However, I never gelled with the sound of the pickups (the blade ones, Schaller built I think), and eventually sold it to finance a 57 MIJ that I'm having much more fun with.

Have a black 2005 Godin Freeway, and it is my favorite to play in my small collection.
