More of a practical question; do I dare bring the hollow body or will have the place ringing with feedback?

I wouldn't. Whatever rig you have the utmost confidence in and the ability to dial in what you need immediately is what you need so you can just play.

Always, always use the gear you know best. I've ended up with my Partso Strat plugged into everything from an over-hot, loud Peavey (I let someone else dial the controls) to a practice bass amp. Because I know that guitar, I can make almost anything else work.

Take a guitar you trust, then focus on blending in with the rest of the band. You'll be fine. :thumb:

Going into an unknown situation, definitely use what you know best.

If a situation becomes familiar, consider experimenting with somethin else - if it looks feasible.
