Admin Post Picked this up this morning with a plan to scavenge the parts for other projects but of course I get it home and it’s absolutely perfect LOL. I’m not sure I can tear this one apart. Getting ready to look under the hood to see what the pick ups are because the guy couldn’t remember. Whatever they are they’re noiseless and sound awesome. All I know for sure is that it’s a parts caster because the neck is from a deluxe power Stratocaster. I’ve been wanting to put together a relic guitar and this one has just the right amount of natural relic.
Admin Post As I suspected the body is not genuine Fender but I really like it whatever it is. Pick ups are a Texas Special in the bridge, Seymour Duncan SSL-1 in the neck and I’m not sure what the middle one is but it looks to be Fender USA. I’m really happy with this one.
Admin Post The seller had guaranteed the body was genuine fender so I mentioned it to him and he refunded $50 through PayPal. That was nice of him to do that.
Nice find Lonn! A couple of years ago, I picked up a MIM Strat at a local music store (just killing time, and decided to give it a whirl). I took it home because it had an amazing sound. To this day, I still can't figure out why it sounds so special . . . it just does.
Nice guitar! Big block. Callaham? I wouldn't want to rip that apart. It looks like it was all meant to be together.
Admin Post Regular Fender MIM big block. All it needs is a new pickguard and for me to get the pickup covers matching.
