Yesterday. Arm is sore after 20 hours. Still waiting for that overwhelming desire to buy Microsoft products.

Kidding aside, wife and I have both had 2 shots, daughter has had 1. My wife has a few medical issues so I'm happy she's vaccinated considering those mutant strains on the news.

Excitement, relief, looking forward to getting back out to play. Blessed I live here, really.

Our area is pretty low on infections so there isn't a huge urgency. The Fraser Valley where my step brother lives is a real problem area so they pushed everyone ahead to vaccinate everyone. Their whole family is vaccinated. He and his wife both have #2 as of last week and the kids have #1.

I'm on the CEV list because I've got a busted immune system so they bumped me ahead slightly. I got my second on Thursday evening. My arm was sore yesterday and I was a total write off for the day. Today not so much and I feel back to normal. My wife gets hers July 2nd.

Hopefully we'll get the vaccines in arms faster than the variants can move. That's what'll determine our path forwards and opening up. SeattleStock and Eurostock here I come!

Really glad to hear that many more people continue to have access to the vaccines. Here in the states it looks like we might be approaching our asymptote before long. Most people who want to get vaccinated probably have by now, and the persuasive techniques and campaigns to combat misinformation of all kinds are in full swing. Herd immunity through vaccination seems an unattainable goal in most countries, but at least case/death rates are steeply declining in many places.

The next door neighbor - widow of about 75 - tells me this morning, she's not getting the vaccine. She said you respect my choice and I'll respect yours.
I told her point blank she was wrong.

There's little I can say when she keeps coming up with the common conspiracies found on the internet.
Some of them were whoppers. Zero research into the medical facts. Refuses to ask her doctor. She's very bossy, gossipy, stubborn.

Her husband died last March. She said if they had diagnosed him dying from Covid she would have sued them??? wtf???
She's putting her house on the market this week. I pity the real estate agent that has to work with her. Really.

She's one of many who unfortunately are reducing our chance to get the % (of first doses) high enough to remove all the restrictions in our province - the last to be lifted is playing live music.
