So personally my favriote color is yellow.

I wanted my next guitar to be in yellow

So was looking at graffiti yellow
And was wondering has anybody done this and which company do they recommend to purchase from.

I just dont want to get a mustard yellow look.

If you have pics please share. I wanna put this on a tele but so far they look good on strats in my own opinion.

Im planning for the next big project after the lake placid blue is finished. I dont know what im going to do with 4 strats... maybe ill end up selling them.

    But so far

    1. My American strart (never selling)
    2. My custom Jimi Hendrix strat (candy apple red)
    3. My custom Shop 69 Strat (Lake placid blue)
    4. Figuring it out (graffiti yellow)

Here's one I used to own... 2003 graffiti yellow mim 'powerhouse strat'. Was a cool guitar but I didn't like the active pickups.

Well I chose that picture specifically to show you the important factor of undercoat. You want the result to be a vivid yellow you need to spray white underneath otherwise it will become darker yellow.

I think those are just strat- and tele-shaped graffiti yellow stickers under all that.

That, my friend, is Vintage White from '87.

The body is from an E4 Strat Plus.

It has yellowed and mellowed a lot over the years

For me finding the right shade of yellow wasn't easy. I bought 5 or 6 cans of paint before I found a shade that didn't look like a canary doing acid. Valspar, yellow creme #65009 Lowes has it. Good luck with your project.

Oh, I've got 5 or 6 cans of ugly a$$ yellow paint I'll sell you cheap.

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!!! I have a black Epi Jr that I love dearly and would really love to have one in yellow but they don't have exactly what I want. THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I WANT!! What color was it before the Valspar? Did you leave it satin or do a shiny top coat? OMG OMG OMG!!

Thanks Dad! It was black and that's a gloss top coat. I reshaped the neck profile quite a bit and it's really fun to play now.

Dang. It's just as beautiful as I had dreamed it would be. lololol I will keep the black one I have as is and get another one for the project. Thanks for the reply. Considering that you can buy the epis for 60 bucks a pop, it would be fun and awesome and cheap.

Wiz, sorry for the brief hijack, but it was regarding yellow paint so...
