Sure, it wasn't the hippest at the time (it was the mid '80's and I wanted to ROCK!!)..but this is the one that I took my first steps as a guitarist with, hooked me for LIFE!

The best thing about this is you can tell she has a love for playing rather than a passing fad or pressure to play from her folks. Its very special when that happens and leads to a lifelong love for playing.

    well done.

Not one bit. That is quite some axe!
The one I got, back in around 1980 or so was second hand. Most likely a late 70s copy. Natural wood, with maple fingerboard, 3sgl coil pups.

    She looks so proud.
I totally feel that. I remember my first great electric and my first guitar I got.
Felt in heaven and it never changed.

    All the best,
    Robin

Nice - back when I used to teach guitar the female students were often the best, especially for that age - more focus and determination.

No kidding. The 10 yr old has been playing trumpet for almost two years now and is a wiz at reading music and we have just started playing a few things together. Great fun.

The 5 yr old just bangs on the guitar with the amp turned up. I will say, she can do that in perfect timing with what ever I’m playing. I’m thinking of tuning her pink strat to a open chord tuning.
