I talked to someone on the online chat thing about price matching, and the guitar has to be in stock from whatever store you are price matching.
So I might have to spend the £2999 and maybe get some leads, bags, strings etc included.

Mabye keep your powder dry and hold off for a bit then until in stock elsewhere??? It's the tight Scot in me, try to get everything as cheap as!

I own 2 Gretsch - a Jet 6131 and hollowbody 5422.
Have played almost all other models.
Love Falcons and all other Gretsch models.

Not my fav Falcon.
It has a centre block that will make it heavier but reduce feedback.
Also has bigsby tension bar (behind bridge) that degrades bigsby function and makes re-stringing a bit harder.
There are Falcon models without centre block and tension bar.
Has Gretsch HS filtertron pups - tick
But models with TV Jones Classic filtertron pups are slightly better imo.
You'll love it for sure though

I like the thought of having a smaller body to make playing a bit more comfortable.
It has the string thru bigsby, this is good because changing strings a bit easier.
As I said, I haven't even played it yet, if it plays anything like the single cut I tried 10 years ago then I'll be ecstatic.

White Falcons are great guitars. I'm not even talking about the bling.

Once set up correctly bigsby's on all Gretsch models work great.
Slightly better without tension bar (see my pics).
Any issues are usually in the nut slots not being cut smoothly.
Bigsby's are a wobble effect though - don't try to dive bomb it
All post 2003 Gretsch proline models are made in Terada Japan.
These are consistently the best Gretsch guitars made in their long history.
All stock Gretsch proline models have better build quality and finishes than any Fender Custom Shop guitar imo.

haha yes, definitely excited about having a guitar with a Bigsby.
I'm trying the guitar tomorrow and will no doubt update yous on what happens.

The brilliant thing is he had Filtertrons in that White Falcon, same as the one I have bought.
No way I can play with that much feel but yeah if the White Falcon sounds anything like that one then I'll be very happy.
