Update: No phone call back from the manager, I'm deciding on weather I should call and see what the update is or just continue to wait
The squeaky wheel gets the grease. Keep yourself front & center in his mind, otherwise he might start thinking you'll go away if he ignores you. I'd say he's had plenty of time to figure this out.
In that case Ill give him a call Tuesday seeing as hes only in Tues-Fri. I was hoping he'd call while I was outta town seeing family but sadly I was mistaken. I know he said he had to talk to someone higher up to see how they wanted the issue handled so he might also be waiting
This. You have to keep pushing. He's got a lot going on running the store and you are not the only thing he is thinking about. "Problems" that go away on their own are the best "problems" to have. If it's been more than a few days since you last spoke with him, it's time for a call.
I have a coworker who has an amazing amount of wood shop tools and we actually discussed this if they either give me the cost of the neck back or just replace it. If they give me the cost I’ll buy a new one and we will start a small project on doing this exact same thing. I was thinking something along the lines of interlocking wood pieces to add some uniqueness to the headstock as a replacement for later down the road. I really appreciate you adding this to the thread, and I’ll be putting some things down on paper if it comes to that
Jesus Christ, do you not know that the people working there don't know what they are doing? How many 100's of stories do you need to hear?
That's easy - because they make money at it. They get some "tech" that isn't qualified to change strings, pay min $7.50 an hour and then charge the customer $60 an hour for labor.
I use a Skil Moto-Tool drill, first use a punch to mark and then drill with masking tape over the hole. Great little tool I use all the time, sorry he hacked your neck--
Read the thread dude. I stated that several times. Not everyone knows everything like you do. The guy took his guitar to a place called guitar center, and people are busting his stones for it.
I use one of these and drill every hole by hand...twisting the bit with my fingers. Perfect results every time. http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-5...0001&campid=5338148356&icep_item=284116503667
It looks like the hack didn’t have the proper reamer for the peg head or the correct size drill bit? I’ve said this a million times NEVER let someone at Guitar Center work on your guitar. I’ve been a vendor for guitar center for years and I never saw one GC employee in all of the time who was barely qualified to restring a guitar let alone work on one.
I have a little hand reamer that I've used to enlarge holes for tuners. Works like a champ. Cost about $15. Real sorry about your experience. A Dremel? Really?!
Not yet I’ve been trying to talk to the manager again and it’s been fairly difficult, I’ve been outta town seeing family and I’ve even called 2-3 times and all those times he wasn’t there
