Ive got stacks of old ones of all kinds, even from the 80's, just reread them.
No one carries them anymore, and if they do they are like 10 or 15 bucks. Mostly ads.

I get Guitar Player, which I've had on and off for 40 years now; and Vintage Guitar, which I love to read. Although if I see Joe B. or that Vai guy on the cover again... I don't know what I'll do, but it won't be pretty.

Also receive Premier Guitar, but that ship has sailed. I don't care for their pc attitude of late...

Hahahaha! Here is a song my wife wrote the day I sent her home with a 1970 O-18 Martin. F’s So Hard. Notice that every chord she is singing about it’s never the chord she is playing!

    Couldn't agree more.

I have this edition - and did some analysis of the new gear reviews.

9 products were awarded 'editor's choice' scoring 9/10
1 product was awarded 'editor's choice' scoring 10/10
Just 2 pedals got a lowly 8/10, although to keep the maker happy their 3rd pedal was one of the 'editor's choice' 9/10s!!

So either all products reaching the market are universally stellar these days, or the mag is little more than a sycophantic marketing tool for gear manufacturers?!!! You judge that one.....................

As for the article 'How to Buy a Vintage Strat'. Huw Price may know his stuff and its a reasonable summary of key pre-CBS feature changes over the years.

But in the UK, which is renowned for vintage Strat fakers and thieves, it should have had a massive health warning about Denmark Street, Musicground etc etc. I'd hate to think that article encouraged anyone with the wherewithal to dive into our shark-infested vintage waters after the brief mildly cautionary introductory paragraphs, if they don't have huge in-depth knowledge of vintage Strats and/or the support of an expert who does.

That's the last edition I'll be buying!!
