I'd have to say a White Penguin.

I'm willing to take my time and save up for some of the more expensive guitars on my wish list, but even the reissues of the White Penguins are ridiculously priced.

The Ampeg Dan Armstrong Keith Richards used on the Stones 1969 US Tour that was stolen from him in the South of France duriing the sessions for Exile On Main Street. That's assuming it turned up, and he'd sell it to me! Actually, I have an original 1970 Ampeg Dan Armstrong, so I am good to go! I also wouldn't mind having Clapton's 1964 cherry red ES-335 that he used in Cream and Blind Faith that The Guitar Center won in an auction in 2004 and Gibson used as a proto for the Clapton Crossroads ES-335. However, I do have a cherry red Epi Dot, which is totally awesome!

I would want a '77 strat of any color really, don't have much of a preference there. I know the 70's Fenders were hit or miss, but I always like the idea of having a strat born the same year as myself.

I'd like Number One or Lenny.

But something a little more realistic that I would never have would probably be an orginal '62 Strat.

    You read my mind!

We must have very similar taste in gear. I did the next best thing I got a CS 1960's olymic white strat and a CS 1956 light relic Mary Kay. If you can't get the real thing that's about as close as possible.

The guitar that I secretly want has yet to be produced.

Combine a telecaster (shape, pickups and simplicity) with a Gibson archtop (size, hollow, arched-to). I don't know why I want one. Probably just because it doesn't exist yet.

I've always wanted to have Steve Lukather's Valley Arts Robot, even though it has EMG pups and Floyd Rose it's a cool guitar.

A real 1954 Fender Strat would awesome, sunburst of course and a Mary Kaye Stratocaster would be cool too. Original '60-'62 Olympic White Stratocaster is one of my dream guitars too but it's also something I can't afford ever.

Amber or Cherry Sunburst '58 Gibson Les Paul Standard also belongs to this list.

A Gibson ES 335. I have an Epi Riviera which I love. I always wanted and ES335 but just can't lay down the cash.

I don't know that I'd want to OWN it, per se -- but I'd like to get my hands on Paul Weller's Rickenbacker for a while. Just to find out how the heck he managed to make a Rick sound like that, when mine absolutely won't!

I once had a dream that I was in a guitar store...but during the mid sixties! (I was a babe then) They had all these Fenders on the showfloor and I was walking around, almost short of breath. I was thinking to myself, holy sh#t, look at this Strat and that. I could buy any of these for NOTHING. It was like a time warp type of thing where I was aware of the present day and the value of these guitars now.

It was sweet. All I needed to do was bring one of those back with me ; - )
