Just dropped about $350 on two pedals so pretty sure it wont be me. :)

Though it does make me super curious.

Aren't their effects normally built by Joyo? At that price point I have to wonder where the sacrifices were made. Just sayin

For what its worth, a boutique pedal maker seems to think that Joyo is pretty cool on a budget:

    Just sayin ;-)

No telling yet whether the new HB pedal is made by Joyo though.

looks similar to the Zoom pedal I paid $50 or $60 for a couple years ago. It's got a looper, drum machine, bunch of amps/effects.. Love it for at home having fun, even use it for home recording sometimes.. I'd never use it for a gig.. I'm going to look more into the HB one though out of curiosity

edited: I looked at it more and watched some video... it does a lot more than the Zoom

According to this YouTube reviewer, the pedal is almost identical to the Mooer GE150. Knob placement and lights are a little different, but inputs and outputs on the back panel are exactly the same. Sounds pretty good!

The sacrifices are usually in research and development. Copy/paste are so much cheaper.

Harley Benton is the brand owned by Thomann, Germany.
Joyo is a circuit copier anyway.
Let's say Joyo makes a Marshall Plexi clone. They use the known schematics and start building the amp.
It will not sound like a Marshall Plexi.
Well, they copy the circuit but not the amp's sound.
Marshall can do that for sure(reissue amps) but not Joyo.
Layout, components, all are parts of the sound.
    All the best,
    Robin

That is because Josh is too nice to call out Joyo for blatantly ripping off others designs and doing a piss poor job of it to boot. Like Robbins said joyo is a copier of circuits and the 4 pedals of theirs I owned 5 years ago all sounded like a turd (sweet baby and tremolo) had a switch fail within a month or two (delay), or just had so much hiss and noise (chorus pedal) that it was unusable.

I do not doubt your experience with Joyo, but it doesn't match my own. I have a pair of the AC-Tone amp simulators, one six years old, the other about 5. I have two- one for my main board, the other for a compact board. I found I was switching the first one between boards too frequently, so I got a second one dedicated to the compact board. No problems with either over years, but they pretty much stay velrcoed in place with no stress to the power or signal connectors.
I may have been lucky with Joyo, or you may have been unlucky. I'm certain they are not up to the quality of MXR or Way Huge, etc. but they have worked for me.
