What are your experiences with em? I’ve been poking around to find something to play through when my family is still asleep.

Lots of options. These are the ones I have used and like.
    Vox AMPlugs- very inexpensive option
Yamaha THR5 or 10. Modeling amps. More expensive, but good sound quality. Also good for recording.

I saw something on Wish called the PockRock that looks pretty interesting. Might be a total waste of $25 for all I know.

Those Vox seem to be the go to headphone amps.

Boss Micro BR - features amp simulations, FX, 4 track recorder, built in mic, plays MP3 files, slow down solos without changing pitch, drum patterns, compact pocket size. Should find them quite cheap used on EBAY as no longer made.

    Would not be without mine.

I've used the Vox Amplug when living in a hotel while working. Did a decent job. I used a Yamaha THR5 when living on the boat with very good results

I use the Vox AC30 Amplug. I can plug straight into the guitar or into my board. Either way it works well for me.
As a sidebar, I will never buy from Wish again. A coworker turned me on to them 5 or 6 years ago and I tried a few things from them. Everything I bought failed within a couple months. I figured out rTher quickly why they called their company Wish...I wished I hadn't spent my money on crappy crap that failed so quickly.

Hahha... I bought my THR when living in a rented flat in Qatar, and got the Vox to use on the research boat.

I have a Blackstar amplug. Love it! 3 gain settings, and 3 effects.

I use a Fender Mustang as a headphone amp. It also has USB out to the computer, and an aux-in so you can play along with other music. Got it used for $60, and has been one of the best purchases I ever made.

I play about 90% of the time through headphones into a Fender Mustang GTX100, never felt the need for something different specifically for headphones. Having said that one could ask why I need the amp, right? Anyhow it works well for me. Stereo feed and all the amps, cabs and effects in one spot.

I was looking for something smaller, but I have to admit the Mustang does a great job with headphones. You can dial in a clean input if you want to use pedals. The aux input is a great feature as well.

I wish you could still get those, those rigs had this wonderful distortion.

The Vox Amplug are really great when used with quality headphones and affordable.
I started with the ac30 model and added the clean (fender twin reverb) and that one is simply awesome !

I like the looks of those. They cut down on the number of cables which is a good thing. I may have to try one.
