Man, if I was amp shopping right now, I'd buy one of the new EVH 50W EL34 amps and a 2x12...not hardwired or boutique at all but the clips I have heard are amazing...excellent clean channel and a more British-sounding rhythm channel (and a face-melting lead channel). Then go buy a nice guitar with the extra $1500 you just saved!

Absolutely KILLER track my friend \m/
I love it. It has some great Schenker quality and the harmony parts are the best magic in there.
I love the tone as well.

    Life is good,

I'd never spend that much on an amp again. I recently bought a new H&K Grandmeister Deluxe 40. It nails all the tones I need. It did the 5153 50w tones almost perfectly when I tried both a few weeks ago.

It's not the best amp I own, but with a band in the mix? You don't miss the 5% more of the expensive amps.

    Hi, buddies

at end of year with the $3,000 saved towards tube amp ; I am open to keeping some $ left.

Just would prefer an handwired turret board internal construction as homage to my favorite guitarists'

I love the sound of a Fender BF amp...but, the Super Reverb can be harsh. A great, and less expensive, alternative is a piggy back Bassman. With a 2x12 cabinet they are more controllable and have every bit of the the famous BF tone.
Have a look at Rockitt Retro amps. Plexi clones...hand wired, good reviews and good sound.

    Hi, buddy !

The Rockitt seems to have most of the features I am wanting as far as reliable components and old-school build:) .

If you go the Plexi clone route...be sure to opt in for the master volume.

Why don't you just get me one and I'll tell you how it is (that's instead of the whole chewing gum thing). Think about it...you won't have to explain it to Ms. S_I_C.

I don't know I work a Marshall to save my ass, but I keep on wanting one...I like the 50w Bass option.

BTW...have you seen the Peavey Invective?

I'm still in awe that she green-lighted the Gibson, not sure I want to push my luck with an amp this close to Christmas, haha :D

Never heard of the Invective...sig amp of that dude from Periphery, huh? Haven't heard it but sounds like its made for the brootz...prob not my cup o' tea but I'll check it out.

No...I like it. I might do away with the high gain channel...it's very much like the 6505+, but wait there's more...more features. Give it a listen.
