I had some time while the Turkey was cooking to try the one I mentioned earlier that was giving me fits. I figured this wouldn't be too hard given there are no solos but jeez...those riffs make no logical sense. Bless Hanneman and King...they were never afraid to use every note on the neck in any place they damn please! :D

@mshivy send the kids away before you play this. :p

Happy Thanksgiving to my brothers in metal! \m/

Wow! I'm equal parts impressed and exhausted watching those hands fly! Great job.

I really wish notifications for this thread worked, I miss so much when I forget to check regularly but it was a blast to see all the new things when I visited today.

I recorded something this afternoon that's definitely not heavy metal. The backing track was described as AC/DC style, though, so I thought I'd put a link here for anyone interested: https://www.strat-talk.com/threads/black-friday.455966/

@Ruscio love your style, you sound great and make it look so effortless!

@Mouse now there is a true heavy metal memory! Such a classic tune and you nailed it!

That was sick! You have some serious Thrash metal chops.
My wife asked if that was Black Sabbath.
Slayer is a seriously insane band, that stuff is tough to play. You are a Metal God!!!

    Thanks guys!

@mshivy honestly what makes that song tough to play is it makes no musical sense. There was nothing in my muscle memory bank to prepare me for those weird riffs. o_O But that's what makes Slayer who they are. My apologies to your wife for suffering through that. :p

:) I know...I hardly see Jim Anderson kicking back in his recliner relaxing with his pipe with this on.

Great playing Scott. That’s a cool solo, the V sounds awesome.

I just looked up this tune, I was not familiar with it.
They could have fit right in with the grunge era, the
    Music business sucks.

Thanks guys! I appreciate the listens and compliments

@mshivy , ya that one is the opening track off of the Dusk album...kinda of a forgotten gem as is was originally the demo for Badlands but then later released in the early 90's.

@Robins , yep, loving the V! Those dirty fingers pickups are pretty raw but they do sound good in a mix. That was using a JCA50 amp sim in Amplitube with pretty low gain.
