    Not another one!

    Just kidding. :D

I'm from California but moved to France well over half my life ago.
I like Denmark. One of my best friends lives in Birkerød

I've watched 'The Bridge'. I know what Swedes sounds like and I know what Danes sound like. I don't understand Swedish at all, but a least I can detect each spoken word. With Danish, I can't do that - it's like listening to verbal vomit, or maybe listening to someone from Manchester.

I did a French degree. I had a master plan to escape England that involved French girls. I had some considerable success in regard to the first part of the plan during my year in Cherbourg and then it all went to pot when I met a rather spectacular Dane who dragged me over here and then decided she wanted to move to London. Which interfered with my master plan so I stayed and found another one.
The first one is now living in the USA and is finding it so miserable she was going to move back to Denmark if Trump got a second term.... go figure.

Anyway... you asked to see my guitars so here they are... apart from the Burns which I can't find a photo of.
The work in progress - the Squier was bought knowing I'd have to do some work on it. Polished the frets, rounded the edges of the fretboard and put the lace golds that were on the Fender. The button is a kill switch installed by the Fender's previous owner that's coming off and being replaced with blend control. IMG_20210228_181318.jpg

My old Aria - my first electric from 1985 and en even older JC120 from 1979. IMG_20200226_201102.jpg

The SG1000 I bought to replace the Aria when I thought it was "dead" before Hansen guitars brought the Aria back to life. Amp is a 1963 non top boost I've had since 1987 that I bought from my former guitar teacher for fifty british pounds. Its first owner was also my guitar teacher so it's nice to know its history. I gave myself the challenge of learning how to play "Spellbound" by Siouxsie and the Banshees so it could be the first thing I played on it when it arrived from Japan and before I hit the big 50.
    I managed. But only just.
Big McGeoch fan here - which the JC120 also gives away.
The reading material to the left of the AC30 kind of gives away where my obsession with black on black maple neck Strats comes from. Seeing the Edge on TV in 1983 made me fell in love with them. Liked the guitar before I even liked the band. Never liked his Explorer.

Yeah. That video is made by a group of Norwegian comedians, btw. It’s easier to read Danish, than Swedish though.

Cool. I love Thomin. I have a gold top Harley Benton Les Paul copy coming. I want to hear those p-90’s! And it’s just beautiful!
