    Hi All,

I am a new member from Melbourne Australia. After taking a break from guitar due to work commitments I am now back playing for the last 6 months or so

I brought myself a PRS SE Custom 24, after owning and selling many strats.

Today I went a played a new Fender Players Series Strat in Tidepool, I realised how much I missed that strat feel ad tone. I am going back tomorrow to purchase it.

I should never have strayed !!!

Hope to talk to more of you soon

    Enjoy your playing

Congrats! Melbourne here too! I’m in the 3004 CBD area. We should all meet up and jam! I have no strat at the moment though!

    Hello!
I’m from Perth Australia and that’s how I ended up on this thread. I’m 40 and have taken up guitar in the last few months and absolutely love it despite being terrible. I have a very much beginner guitar and am ready to upgrade. I have been considering the fender player telecaster because of the split humbuckers. I feel like it’s a cover all bases option. What does everyone else think?
What do you think I should buy? I am enjoying lots of different genres so looking for a flexible option.
    Thanks,
    Ross

Welcome! Good call on the Strat. We'd love some pics (in addition to the one in the avatar).

Welcome! I was in Melbourne in December just for the day. We were on a cruiseship. Very hot day.
Hated leave. Got home safe before the covid hit. Lucky us! Best to you. Brian

Hi Ross. My advice is buy whatever feels good and sounds good to you and makes you proud to own it. I've never once played some AC/DC on a strat and wished it was an SG. Close enough for rock'n'roll, as the saying goes.

Besides, you'll eventually own at least 5 guitars, trust me.
