yep. back before we really knew about them, I got a whole load of Ash in that was full of 'em... I had to completely empty my wood storage shed, then have the bug guy come by and hose everything down..

That's not good! Wouldn't kiln drying the wood kill them off?that's not woodworms.. thise are Ash borers.. they were dormant inside the wood as it was being built, and hatched, then bored their way out...

You would think so... but kiln drying usually happens around 140F so they may be some tough lil boogers..That's not good! Wouldn't kiln drying the wood kill them off?
it seems to be really really rare. i have filtered all facebook startocaster / fender groups i am in looknig for "worm" , "holes" etc and only 1 result came up. from milions of people. even on entire internet i can barely find anyone having this issue. i seriously cannot believe this.FWIW, I like cheap guitars - Grotes, e.g. - and I have yet to see a single worm hole. Ridiculous, really. Best of luck.
Good point.Oh, God that is foul... I bet that the store you bought the guitar from has received similar calls. I wouldn't hesitate to complain ASAP.
its a stratIf new, absolutely send it back. What kind of guitar is it?
This is a pretty good (and recent) article... if you search 'Ash, Fender and Emerald Ash Borer' you'll find more information I suspect: https://www.the-nature-of-music.com/2022/02/15/guitars-bugs-and-climate-change/it seems to be really really rare. i have filtered all facebook startocaster / fender groups i am in looknig for "worm" , "holes" etc and only 1 result came up. from milions of people. even on entire internet i can barely find anyone having this issue. i seriously cannot believe this.
