All cabling is correct and new.

Selecting bridge to mid or mid back to bridge creates a loud popping sound through the amp?

    Any suggestions?

A common mistake is for an EMG system to get grounded. I had the identical issue on a used RG560 with EMGs and it turns out the guy who installed it never removed the ground wire to the trem claw. So it popped between every pickup selection. I snipped the ground and it all worked fine after that.

No ground and there is no copper liner.

A similar cause might be incorrect wiring to a stereo jack?

The pulldown cap isn't properly grounded, or it's fried. Letting them deal with it is probably the correct solution.

EMG is supposed to have great customer service. They'll do you right.
