    Hey Everyone,

I am in search of stick on letter tiles and could use some help. Back in the day players use to put their initials on their guitars such as on the ones shown below. I have a vintage tele with a repro pickguard and would like to place my initials on it. I think it's a really cool touch. I have checked eBay, hobby stores, and other retailers for these type of letters. To my knowledge they are somewhat 3-D and not flat stickers. I've been searching high and low for the last few months but have not been able to find these type of stick on letters.

PLEASE, If you have any idea on where to acquire some of these let me know! I would love to find some NOS ones but repros are fine too. Just as long as they're historically accurate :)

    All the best, -M

Those were commonly provided with luggage in the 60s and 70s.
Somewhere in the pile of "crap I haven't seen in 40 years" is a suitcase with my initials on it.
It was a Sears suitcase... basically a Sampsonite with a Sears label.
Some came with the full alphabet. Mine was like on the "NAT" Tele... suitcase came with a mail-in card that you'd send it telling Sears what initials you wanted.

Scour the thrift stores and you might be able to find them stuck on smaller overnight bags.

I found some expired listings on Etsy for the gold block type by searching for "vintage luggage initials"

    Outstanding! Thank you thank you!

I hadn't a clue that these were originally used for luggage letters. I looked for vintage mailbox letters but all I found were too large. I just ordered some from an eBay listing. Once I get my new Bakelite pick guard I’ll put up a picture of the complete package. Thanks all!
