Another vote for tortoise, great on a natural Strat.
3-ply parchment or mint green would look good on that one too.
Black is also good on natural.

there was a site you could sample different pg's on bodies................ can't find it.

Warmoth was one? But doesn't seem to do that anymore, just bodies

Nice guitar. It has a "players guitar" DIY vibe to it which the single ply suits.

If, however, you're intent on changing it for 3 ply, I would go for white - W/B/W. I would also change the plastics so they all match. Either change the bridge pup cover to match, or change all the others to match the bridge.

You might want to consider getting a setup before worrying about the scratch plate color. Function before form. No?
These photos are a few weeks old now. I do agree it's all about function over form, I have set it up and played it for two hours at a gig on Friday night, it played sounded great đź‘Ť A couple of truss rod adjustments and a little tinkering with the bridge and it's right as rain! Leo certainly new how to design a guitar you could work on easily
