I agree. Black 3ply with black plastics. 70s vibe. Naughty 70s.

Nice guitar. It has a "players guitar" DIY vibe to it which the single ply suits.

If, however, you're intent on changing it for 3 ply, I would go for white - W/B/W. I would also change the plastics so they all match. Either change the bridge pup cover to match, or change all the others to match the bridge.

Hey strat people, what pickguard should I put on this? I'm not a massive fan of the current single-ply guard, definitely gonna go 3ply, thinking maybe parchment, or brown tort. Thoughts?

These photos are a few weeks old now. I do agree it's all about function over form, I have set it up and played it for two hours at a gig on Friday night, it played sounded great A couple of truss rod adjustments and a little tinkering with the bridge and it's right as rain! Leo certainly new how to design a guitar you could work on easily
