The guitar is really pretty. There's only a little twang. I thought I was going to have to shut it off when he began singing, but it it did get better. It's tolerable.

You know your favorite groups, Zzzzz. I generally try to concentrate on a new chord or technique, every new song. Don't be afraid to try something "out of your range".

I'm going to digress, here, but bear with me. When I was playing Tetris (yes, I'm that dusty)
I would play upper levels, and fail, because when I returned to the levels I could handle, trying in the higher levels made my playing improve considerably. It's much the same with guitar.

So pick a song you like, from a group you enjoy, learn a new chord, or two, and keep bending the strings. Online, if you want the chords and words to a song, try "Ultimate Guitar", they have been a great help to me.

OK, OK, your next song should be "Average Ordinary Everyday Superhero" by Smashmouth.

Oh, no...no. This has the "polka "beat to it that I do not like. The cover is a little easier to listen to.

Thanks! I do love all the song suggestions. I've added most of them to my library. If not, I at least listened to something new.

When I was learning guitar back in the late 60's, I found CCR songs easy to learn. For you young ones out there that is Creedence Clearwater Revival

How about some credence? Bad moon rising, who'll stop the rain? Easy, fun and recognizable by nearly everyone

Peter, Paul, and Mary- great fun for kids.

Puff The Magic Dragon, or Weave Me The Sunshine

All available on the Ultimate Guitar site. Most songs are.

Case in point with "out of range":

I really like "Her Majesty", by the Beatles. learned a new way of playing the D chord,
B7, and it's taking a lot of work, but it's helped me improve my technique, by leaps and bounds. Progressing quickly thru the B minor is difficult, but once you learn it, you own it.

Not quite. I needed a moment to replay it and allow my brain to process it. I've decided it's a mix up of a children's tv program, a bard from yesteryear & punk. I wasn't sure if I should be handing out milk & cookies, putting on a corset & gown, or attempt a mosh. LOL. I think I like them, sir.
