The seller doesn't know anything about this guitar it was her husbands.. I think it might be a '62 AVRI?

    What do you guys think?

Looks like it could be, and pre-1998 by the 12th fret dot spacing....

Yeah, Fender can or maybe guys like @John C or @Guy Named Sue

    consumerrelations@fender.com

It doesn't come up in their online database

Decals on headstock should be over the finish, not under.....can't tell in pics....

Looks that way to me, the decal is on top. It's checks out as a 62 re. Im just a little confused about the bridge, looks like blank saddles. I'd need a better picture on that, I've zoomed in as much as I can possible.

It's a reissue serial number from US not Japan. They don't have a database on those.

It surely looks an AVRI pre 1998 as @Guitarmageddon pointed out.
Any document/cards available? A picture of the electronics would reveal a lot of info too.
I don't see red flags, provided the saddles are stamped.....

No...that's a newish member with only 10 posts, using Guitar Dater Project which has a lot of incorrect info....

Japanese would have wider 12th fret dot spacing....

That's an insanely amazing low price....like $500+ less than usual......

Is there a certificate of authenticity from Fender?
