    Maple highway 1 neck

    White MIM body and electronics.

    Reilander Texas style strat pickups.

    I like it!
The mim Hendrix strat has the reverse headstock which I always thought was a little gimmicky looking.

haha, close enough for me!! Highway one neck was closest thing to a 70s neck I've got.

CS69 pickups would sound more accurate to the real deal.

Did that start out as Olympic white?
How about a picture of the back?

Not spending any money, to be honest. Just combining the best parts I have available into the best guitars I can, and dumping the rest on Craigslist at some point. To me, a strat sounds like a strat, for the most part.
Definitely not shoveling out more money for strat pickups when I’ve got boxes full.

Just going for the general vibe of the look.

All strung up now, if u see the 3rd post. Sounds great and I love the jumbo frets. I’m glad I parted out the highway one. Body and neck are going to good use. Body is being used with a classic series 50s neck and loaded PG. (see above)

Here is a pic of an '04 MIM Classic 70 that I bought in '08/'09...I remember the seller needed the cash real bad (recession) and I got it for less than $200...worth the purchase price and then I flipped it for my left handedness....

    classic70_006.jpg

just never played it as it was a pain in the butt to play and I already owned a few easier to play left handed guitars...it did look cool hanging on the wall....
