Hi, new member here and i don’t know if it’s the right tread.

I found this one but can’t identify it. The seller don’t know much or don’t want to tell. He said he bought it used 30 years ago. No serial number. It look to me as a MIJ but i’m not an expert. The « decal » on the Headstock look hand written.

What you guys think this Strat might be?

I’ll try to have the seller send me more picture. Wich part of the guitar would help?

    Thank you.

It looks like a late 1980s ST362 Japanese Standard. A pity that they wiped off the "Made In Japan" and serial number. Welcome to the forum.

Looks like somebody took an $1100 guitar and turned it into a $300 guitar.

was it supposed to be a squier?

I have a ST-72, and no way it would sell less than $1100.

Could be, there's not much difference apart from the logo at that time. Could be Korean too.

The ST72 is another level of guitar completely.

The decal on mine looks more genuine but I know for definite it's fake. The guy I bought from told me. And the whole guitar only cost £60 (that's $83 at todays rate) back in mid 90's.

Why is this guitar the subject of two threads asking the same question?
