Hi,

I recently have gained an affection for these cheesy vintage woven straps! I picked up a Jaykco and really dig it!

I have been using a heavy hand made bridle leather strap but it's gotta weigh a pound or more!

Are there any other brands of nice hand made in this style? Not the made in china GC versions.

I really like the full suede leather backing on the Jaykco!

Thanks!

Does this qualify in the flower power section?
No kidding, I've had this 30+ years

Sorry! Here ya go!

I got a deal on the blue which goes better with my blonde Telecaster but like it so much it's living on my Strat till I find an appropriate warm toned one. I'll be getting one for each guitar I fear!

Back when I was a full time photographer we called these sort of camera straps "Greg Brady's". Not sure if guitarists do too.

I make a few types of hootenanny style guitar straps, as well as woven ribbon styles in combination with leather like these (3" wide ribbon), with leather ladder back ends.

or 2" ribbon weave on leather, rolled edges.(3" wide total).

EDIT: Now working on a leather-based Saugerties (below) similar to the above... a pattern worn by Cash, Hendrix, Presley. My updated comfort version of the strap of legends.
Taking the 2" wide ribbon, mount it to good leather, rolled edges for comfort and much more stability, less flippy-flop. Others make this strap for guitar stores by taking the ribbon and sewing it to poly web. ugh.

I also do a Stage King series ribbed for pleasure or you might like my Bad Hombre Mexican blanket strap, three colour patterns available. Hell I'll make almost anything you want if I can find materials. Expect a pro-stage ready heavy duty sling, not light-duty consumer stuff. Don't know / can't tell the difference? Stick with your $8 poly weave straps.

Also, this dude don't abide by 2" wide. Won't put my name on a strap that skinny. I also stay away from metal loops and seldom put rivets in places that are gonna ding your gat.

(On these styles anyway. Some other styles I make? Set off the metal detector at 40 paces).
