Played an SG (Gibson, not Epiphone) once at GC. Felt kinda weird to me.

    Love my Casino, tho.

Firebird might feel weird too. They have the same displacement to the left. But once you get used to it, it seems natural. But definitely try a Firebird first then... see if you like it.

I had the Deluxe all attenuated so I didn’t hear it’s real sound …. I’m hoping for more time Friday…just to play.

Now that it has settled in to the 9 Pro Steel set (they feel closer to 9.5 cause Stainless Steel don’t bend like nickel…. and I need to keep flesh on my finger tips … nickel allergy) the strings are too low. The high notes pass the 15th fret … fret out. But it sure makes this thing go fast… and the sound… some where between a Les Paul and a Tele…

Not wanting to crank the little Marshall or Attenuate it this morning I’m using a cheap OCD clone. A Mooer Hustle Drive to Goose the amp. It’s rocking so damn hard but cleaning up so good with the volume on the guitar.. it’s some kinda time machine but not like a Strat… Strats are all Jimi, Clapton, Dave and Robin. This is like Mick Ronson or Mick Ralph’s…. This is Bad Company 70’s $$it. ….. OK maybe it’s Cream too. But it makes you want to play those big chords that hold up a whole song. And it goes fast’! I’m gonna mess with it some more and raise the action slightly to get everything copasetic.

Yeah, I like that too. I got my Strat, and it can't be topped.

Also like the part you said, where it sits between a Tele and a Les Paul.

    Perfect, (for me).

I just checked tracking on mine this morning, it's coming UPS.

Tracking shows it's being delivered today.

UPS never delivers on Saturday out here, guess they're ramping up, to stay ahead for the holidays.

    Which is fine by me.

    I'll be waiting!

Thanks for the updates on your 'Bird @Electgumbo - I binged watched a bunch of demos on this thing the other night, I hope I get a good one. Pretty excited on this one.

I think I mentioned, my wife made it happen for me as an early Christmas present.

So, I bought her a brand new P-Bass. That will be here on Tuesday. I love that woman!

    @Textele
I hope you can get yours today! I’m enjoying mine. The wife just left for work and I can play with my amps all day. I’ve been involved in so much guitar shananagins lately I can’t keep up. Pickup changes in 2 Strats and now the “Bird” I have a lot of stuff to ugh ah ugh evaluate.

The Strats are all happening and the Firebird is so nice and different. It is long! With the long headstock and oblong body it’s massive. Heck but it fits me! I know mine came for a warehouse in Kansas and it did take a while to settle but now it’s pretty nice. It didn’t need anything
major just a bridge adjustment and then a readjustment yesterday. It’s playing pretty good. I didn’t find and blemishes to speak of and I’m happy with the condition it came in. I’m waiting for the case to come in any time now.

    What’s the word? Firebird!
