I wanted something for the front porch and the beach so I picked up this little parlor guitar from Ibanez. Neck meets the body at the 12th fret. Hardly weighs anything, nice crispy tone, even with the strings that came with it. Fret ends are a little ragged, so I ordered a fret end file from Stew Mac. As soon as that gets here I'll pull off the strings, clean up the frets, string with light gauge D'Addarios, and probably tweak the neck just a tad. It's so tiny! And a lot of fun.

Sweet guitar! These parlor guitars have always intrigued me; how do you play it? Strap? Seems too small to play in a more traditional way.

Nice. (I read your title as "pick guard" and then it said "no, not a pick guard" - stay out of my head! Hahaha)

It's got strap buttons, but have yet to try it with a strap. So far it's just been played while sprawled on the couch, I rest the lower body on my thighs and all is well.
