I have been an admirer of the semi hollow body for a while now, I have owned Guild Starfire bass Gretsch, and 8 or 9 Ibanez Artcore, I believe the Artcore is the most reasonable bargain out there today, here is a picture of the ones that I do own today, The tomato colored one has a Seth Lover pickup and the bridge is a 2nd Duncan, I put Gibson tuners on it and all the wires and pots are switch craft, the black one has pickups one from a Les Paul custom and the other is stock, All the hardware has been switched to gold and last is the natural finish This one was recently acquired and is stock and the pick guard removed, then there are the Hofners green and black cherry are limited run and the pink one belongs to my wife, the Hofs had the tuners switched from plastic to metal and the guards removed, all my guitars get the speed knobs put on
I almost forgot my 1958 Hofner archtop, I own some acoustics but this one I lumped with my electric guitars

My Sheraton. Wasn't my first guitar but was the one I really 'learned' to play on. Bought using part of my student loan almost 15 years ago.

    Nice guitars!

OK, here are my two main electric hollow bodies, a 1979 ES175 and a circa 1950's carved archtop Kay body with a new neck and Gretsch floating pickup:

Strung w/ 11's (plain 3rd) and used for jazz, fusion, rock prog, etc.

strung w/ 12-13's (wound 3rd) and used almost only for jazz, bop, swing, etc.

Don't know why I didn't post this pic before - 2004 Fender TC-90. Good luck keeping your hands off these curves, hubba-hubba. I have heard from a few different people that they almost bought one but didn't, or bought one and returned it, because the neck was a little twisted. Makes the good ones a little more rare.

Update on the MIM 69 Thinline - now greatly improved, IMHO.

Very shiny maple neck with terrible tuners that would have had to be replaced - replaced with US 62RI special edition rosewood board neck from an unbound 62RI - hence no "Custom" on the decal. It even had some LPB paint on it from it's previous body, so that's a cool match.

The corners on the stock bridge were the sharpest I've ever known on a Tele. Not impressive on a Fender. Replaced by a Joe Barden bridge, which is really nice. The cut off edge is such an obvious improvement it makes you wonder why more Tele bridges don't have it.

1 meg (why??) pots replaced with 250k. The original pickups were so-so, now replaced with DiMarzio True Velvets, which are great. The neck pickup has a more Strat like open sound, a bit like a Twisted Tele.

So not much left of the original except the body! But it's changed a guitar I wouldn't dream of taking out with the band into one I often take. I love the sound of it, & I love the fact that it weighs just over 6 pounds. So I have my perfect Thinline now, but a lot of the stock MIM fittings (tuners, bridge, pots) really weren't fit for purpose, which is a bit disappointing.

If only Fender made Thinlines like this. I'll have one in Sonic Blue please, or is there one available in Aztec Gold? ;)

Before -MIM bridge. It must take real effort to get the corners as sharp as that.

    After - Joe Barden bridge.

Nice, I'd like to try one of those. I didn't know they had set necks though.

Just picked up an ibanez af75. Used from the local GC. I had an as73 that I unloaded because of necessity. Love them.

P.s it might be an ag75....not sure at the moment.

    Just received.

    It's a 2008 ES-335 "Fat Neck".
And it is not misnamed.....093 deep at the nut.

It is smaller than typical spec...19" vs 20" long. by 16" wide vs 16.25-16.5. It is also slightly thinner.

It is right at 8 pounds.

The surprise was the frets. Having been used to Gibson low/wide typical frets I was surprised
to see taller narrower frets. Pretty sure they are Jescar FW55090's (.055H x .090w).

Plays great, sounds great, looks great.
I've got some TonePros Vintage steel locking studs on the way.
Other than that I'm leaving it alone.

Very inspiring guitar to play and glad to have it.

After two Strats and a Tele, plus some acoustics, came to me this Sheraton II, chinese made. My very first semi-hollow. Great versatility, great sustain! I love it! And goes great with my DIY 15" Eminence cab, doesn"t it?
