That is really pretty. I'd love to compare it to my 82 AM-205 sometime. I've thought about changing the pickups but the stock ones sound pretty darn good.

Do you remember what you paid for it?

As I recall, I paid $880 Canadian dollars, including the financing charges. I’ve still got one of the stock Super 58’s but I’m pretty sure a roommate repurposed the other into a pickup for his acoustic. I’m going to pick one up if I can just for completeness. I really like how lively the Phat Cats are. They’re really musical but they’ve got some nice bite to them too.

They are also as rare as honest politicians and Russian sportscars. Love your guitar, man.

I'm seeing some really nice guitars in this thread! Here's my new Ibanez am93. The super 58 pickups are fantastic.

I swapped stock pickup with Lollar Gold Foil P90, it sounds just right.

Guess I'm pretty nuts about old 3**s. I've bought these over 30 years, but only recently got the last 3, so I need to put this family photo up.

    L-R back row - 64 EB2 59 335 68 335 12 63 355
    L-R front row - 67 Trini 64 335 60 355
    62 330

Had to sell off some guitars I'd have loved to be able to keep, but 3**s are my first love so it had to be done. Still kept the Strats in my avatar so hope I won't be thrown off Strat Talk:D

Wow that is quite a collection that I'd love to try out.

The 59 dot neck 335 is my favorite of the bunch.

NGD! I bought this one yesterday. It's an Ibanez 1977 2355M, picked it up with HSC from a local guitar shop.

Yamaha AEX500, the steel string model. It has a mini-hum in the neck, a piezo under the saddle.
