So, after months of lazyness i finally finished my board. I made out of an old shelf and had people at work cut out the holes in it. I bought aluminum right angles, cut them and riveted them to the shelf. Used anotuer shelf and a hinge to make a bottom cover that holds my power strip and both my power supplies. After everything was assembled i sprayed it with truck bed liner(for texture) sea glass colored paint, and a flat clear coat. The paint is kinda sloppy, and the board isn't as stiff as i was expecting it to be but works for the bedroom. I originally made this to try and save some cash and the DIY cool factor lol. All in all im happy with it but in hindsight, considering the time, money, and effort i should have just bought one. It was still a fun ( albeit frustrating at times since i did this in a barracks room and finished at a friends house) project and i am proud of it. Let me know what you guys think!

That came out well, nice job. Rubber feet on the bottom so it doesn't scratch the heck out of floors I'm guessing?

I like it. Neat and clean keeping the wires sandwiched in there. Sure you could have bought one but I bet you wouldn't have the same sense of satisfaction and pride.

Very nice industrial look. I am painting a guitar that same color right now.

You can get rubber feet for very little money at Ace Hardware.
