That don't look too bad to eat. And a drop of orange juice on the side.

Did ya barf coming out of anesthesia?
Almost. As soon as I was lucid enough I made them bring me a cheeseburger and fries while I was still in the post OP room. Once I made it to the floor that my room is on a had a girl moment but I was able to keep it all down. I just had to eat slow and the cotton mouth was so bad that I couldn't swallow with out a splash of water

at my last surgery a couple of years ago, I told the anesthesiologist that always barfed after, he put anti-barf meds in me while I was out and no problemo.
I had the anti-nausea patch being the ear which really helped but when it came time to eat, I had to slow down a bit.
I didn't through anything up but thought I would. The closest to chucking I came was the the dry heave belch that echoed all the way down the hallway.

I was released yesterday and sent home about noon. Still haven't seen the incision yet but have an idea how long it is. Definitely longer than any of the previous surgeries because they had to use two bandages to cover it.

Overall, this has been relatively pain free, though. I have only taken Tylenol (the over the counter stuff) for pain since I've woken up. It helps with the dull aches and bruising but the incision itself and the bones themselves do not bother me at all.
Lots of rest in the recliner too. I can't remember the last time I slept this much. Oh wait! Yes I can, it was the last time I had this done in 2019. The only thing with wheels in allowed to drive is...

Spend a lot of time attached to the polar pack

And this is what the doctor took out of me.
The metal is the femoral head, the plastic is the bearing that sits between the two metal pieces and the rest on the back of the metal is the cement used to glue it in place.

lol, that orange juice doesn’t look like it would be enough to piss me off 😁

Great story nonetheless! And glad to see that you are doing well.

However…!

I read it in its entirety seventeen times and have yet to find the part that articulates how you got your name of Fluffy Bunny Feet!
