I was thinking about this, and realized that since I started, I couldn't recall every amp that I have had. I think it is around 15. Currently have too many. I'm at 5 now.

It’s a short list. In order:

Ampeg VT-22, Pro Reverb, 50-watt Marshall head, Peavy Backstage, POD, Egnater Rebel, Fezzter Prince Gautama, Fuchs ODS. Only two now.

I have always been an amp hoarder. Right now:

    Bogner Metropolis 4x10
    VHT special 6 head
    Peavey 6505MH for metal toanz
Trinity Amps 5e3 kit built by me
    Fender 64 custom deluxe handwired
Tubeworks preamp and mosvalve power amp rack setup
A couple different cab configurations for the heads and rack setup
A bass amp from my bass gigging days
A pignose battery powered amp that I keep in the closet so I can play in other parts of the house away from the music room and keep the kids ears from getting blown out
    A bass practice amp

I guess that's 9 right there. Like I said I am a hoarder and haven't sold much in 25 years of playing and acquiring gear. At one point I had a mesa quad preamp and 395 power amp with a mesa 4x12 but that rig was just way too much. The Fender deluxe amps are my sweet spot amps for size and power. Good for home and jams.

Ever? I think maybe 10 or 11? Its hard to remember. I omly ever have two at a time and I go years without buying. Currently 2: Orange Micro Terror and a Marshall JVM 1C 50th anniversary. I had a Laney Cub 12r that I loved, but I just got that Marshall so I sold it.

Currently, two. One for electric, one for acoustic or bass.

    Lifetime total, 24.

First one was a battery powered amp. Then my mom got back into playing and had this solidstate Fender it sounded really good from what I remember then we traded that in for a new Crate Solid state . Had that for years eventually it became mine. My first amp I ever bought with my own money was a peavey rage which was a good amp . Wish I had i40t back bullet proof . I have had a Line 6, another small Crate amp with chorus . Then I got my my first proper tube amp a Peavey Valve King . Had a sundown for smaller stuff and also had a Roland Cube 80XL and a Peavey Classic VT. Went the Fender Route and Had a Twin reverb a Deluxe Reverb and then a Fender Mustang iv. Then I had a Carvin 60 watt tube amp and had a Marshall DSL 40 watt . Also had a Fender Princeton. My current line up is an 80's or early 90's AMPEG 70 watt Solid State and a VOX Pathfinder 10 with mods. This covers the last 33 years of playing.

I have gone through a fairly small amount. Maybe only 3 electric amps? I only have one now. I take a bit of a minimalist approach.

I don't go through amps like I go through guitars.

    Right now I have a

    Hot Rod DeVille 410,
    75 Twin Reverb,
    Rod Knob "The Twin",
    Johnson Millenium 150,
    A Johnson JT-50 Mirage.

I really only use the HR DeVille for the band & the Millenium at home. I loaned "The Twin" to a buddy who may someday buy it. I bought the Twin Reverb because I always wanted one but I don't have an actual need for it. The JT-50 was essentially free so I hang onto it just because.

I have a couple older solid state Fender amps but they are dead & I haven't tossed them (I don't know why). I also have a stack of dead Johnsons that I keep to harvest parts from to keep the one I'm using alive as long as possible.

Not too many. Maybe a dozen. In contrast I've owned somewhere around 60 guitars. For a long time I had a Marshall JCM900 combo and a Rivera-era Super Champ and I never wanted anything else. Finally got into buying and selling amps like I do guitars maybe 7 years ago or so.

Now I have six guitar amps and two bass amps:

    Guitar amps
    Supro 1606 Super
    Vox AC15C1
    Blackstar HT Studio 20
    Fender Super Champ XD
    Fender Champ 20

I also have a Vox AD30VT but it's up for sale and I haven't used it in a few years. The little Champ 20 is my workshop amp, but I'm thinking of putting it back into use as a late night jammer.

    Bass amps
    '81 Fender Bassman 135 with an SWR 2 x 10" and a Peavey 15" cabinet.
    Fender Rumble 40

    At the moment none
But in the past I have had (in order as best as i can recall)
    Watkins Westminster (10 watt tube)
Watkins Dominator (2x10 tube amp 17 watts)
Selmer Treble n bass 50 watt tube amp with 2 x12 Goodmans audium 61 bass speakers
Fender Bassman head and the 2 Goodmans
Peavey wedge shaped amp (only ever seen the one I had , solid state 50 watts)
Laney 30 watt sold state (that lasted 3 weeks, hated the sound, very thin)
McGregor 100 watt monitor (that thing was brilliant you had an anti feedback notch on it )
Peavey Bandit I had given me (a lady I did some tiling for said it was her ex's and I could have it if I wanted)

My last before I left the UK was a small 10 watt practice amp as we were living with our daughter while i waited for a small op on my elbows to free trapped nerves after we sold our UK house

70's - some kind of Marshall 100 watt head and 8 X 10 cabinet (known as the fridge)
    80's - Traynor SS 2 X 12 combo, Gallien Krueger ML250
    90's - Marshall JCM900 half stack
    10's - Katana 100

Previous amp was always sold so never had multiple.

    Not many. Previously, I've had:

A couple of generic 'starter pack' kind of amps
    Marshall MS-2 mini stack
    Marshall MG10
    Marshall MG15
    Boss Katana 50

Right now I only have an Ibenez TSA5 and a Blackstar Fly 3, but the Ibanez is the only one I use. I might be getting a Harley Benton 15-watt head next year, but whether that'll be as well as the Ibanez or instead of it, I haven't decided yet.
