I've been using GHS on the Tele @$3.84 a pack

Snake Oil Brand on the Hamer Daytona @$9.00 a pack and I may go back to GHS Burnished during this economic downturn.

Those two guitars tend to get most of the play time. Snake Oil's last such a long time they are cheaper in the long run for me. YMMV and yada, yada, yada....

I still use the D'addario 110 EXLs, Been using them for 30years. Always consistant. I can usually find a 10 pack for under $40.

I usually pay around £4.25 per set, assuming I buy 20 sets, for Fender 150 Nickel Wound Original Bullets.

I pay £6.25 per set, again for 20 sets, for Gibson Humbucker

£5.25 per set (for 20) for PRS

They are good. I used to use them, but they don't stock the Fender or Gibson strings I like. The Fender 150s they sell have standard ball ends. I prefer the bullets

I bulk buy sets when they run specials. I get the ten pack sets for the electric and another 10 pack for the acoustics. I think it breaks down to $4.00 to $4.25 per set.

I use D'Addario's strings: XL Nichel Wound 10-46, EXL110 on the electric and Phosphor Bronze 13-56, EJ17 for the acoustics.

I just tried the EB coated 10's on my Tele.
Saturday night, the G string broke at the saddle, right at the neck side.
The strings are 4 weeks old.

My Brother in law just bought the same set for his Strat.
The G string came apart at the ball after only 3 days.

    Coincidence? Maybe.

Anyway, they around $10 a set, but I keep going back to the Fender 10's at about $5.00

I just ordered 12 sets of Ernie Balls for 40.00 from Musician's Friend... I also ordered a guitar case so I got free shipping... their prices are pretty tough to beat. The local music store here gets 7 bucks a set.

and here I though that I was getting a good deal on my strings for $5.00 or so. you guys have better prices than I can get them for. I have a set of D'Addario EXL 110's on my Squier right now, but I think I'm going to put ghs CL's on the next time. I have some on my latest Gretsch and I like them. I may even try them on my LP. but I usually pay $5.00 a set.

I use D'Addario 9's & 10's and bought 30 sets of each when GC had them on sale for $29.99 for a 10 pack a while back.

With the sales tax, it must be near $6 at the local shop. They're cheaper at GC, of course, but that's miles further, and a lot noisier.

I just don't go through strings that fast, so buying in bulk doesn't make sense to me. I have one backup set, and when I decide it's time to put on new strings, I go get a replacement for that set, and put the backups on.

Around £3.50 online or £5 from my friendly local Fender dealer.

I do try and support my local dealer but when buying in bulk it has to be from an online site especially with free delivery too.

Just got a 5 pack of D'Addario's in "collectors" tin for $30 Aus. + postage. Best deal I got was a 10 pack for same price. But that was when our $ was neck-neck with US. My how times have changed...
