May as well shoot for 20 pages at this point.

The best part of this thread is the good-natured souls who are genuinely trying to instruct a grown man on how to hold a guitar.

Just look at the main page now. At least 3 threads going on right now that someone starts and disappears.

The OP of this thread said thanks a couple of times.

    Hilarious thread.
He didn’t come to pee in anybody’s corn flakes, though some here seemed to take it that way.

I hope when I ask my next obvious question I don’t draw fire.
I’m an old geezer. Please be understanding. :thumbd:

Yes that was well established pages ago. Just saying there are a lot of new members that start a thread like this one and disappear. I’ve apologized to the OP but this thread kept going and turning more and more into a joke.

I’m not saying this guy isn’t a real person, he clearly is.

Yes and that’s why I know you’re a real person. To you and others this was a serious question. I really had no idea it was a problem.

I’m glad you can laugh at this even if for you it was a real question. Nothing against you at all. Just some members get bent out of shape over a harmless joke.

Yes, I size up my strap by sitting and holding the guitar. Then, I stand up and make sure the strap is set so the guitar stays in the same place. It makes the guitar hang up a little high like Tom Morello or Albert Hammond Jr. from The Strokes.

I only play seated. Most of the time I am in jeans. Strats, Tele no problem. LP, pointy things, problem. Those later two I will use the guitar in a classical position.

The StratoMutt is the only one of my five guitars needing the anti-slip treatment. 'Tis a slippery bugger. I guess it is only me and the @fuksman who have the problem.

As a knuckle dragger, I use the left leg rest all of the time. Feels most natural, rather than having to shift me arms to the right using the right leg rest.

Have a bigger lower bout than some folks, I find the left positon is also easier to reach to upper frets.

I think the OP ran off to try saxophone.

Problem solved! You get a neck strap with a hook on it.
