Burning guitars, anything to keep oneself from actually playing one?

Somehow Nigel Tufnel revolutionized the Guitar World.

One of the nicest Strats I've ever played was a Chinese made Squier Affinity. One of (if not the) worst I've played was a US Standard. My favourites are still made in Japan and they don''t have to say "Fender" anywhere..

Oh yeah, I've been playing well over 40 years too.

I have been fixing and repairing guitars for 30 years I am a professional and am good at what I do. if I wasn't I wouldn't still be in the business. Do you fix guitars all day for your daily job? trolling you say? get a grip! everyone has the right to their opinion. and the buyer has the right to know that there are way better choices out there for a few bucks more. sure if all you can afford is 200 bucks then carry on! that's how I make lots of money! Fixing this junk! after all isn't this what these forums are for? passing along information so others don't get screwed? or steered down the wrong path? its not rocket science. you get what you pay for. does 5 bad 199. dollars squires makes someone an expert? nope However... THOUSANDS of repairs and 30 years in the business and counting !most certainly qualifies.:thumb:

Yes, I worked as a guitar repairman and builder, buyer seller for 30 years too . . . starting in '72, when the vintage market was just beginning to grow. I know about cheap junk, but have managed to maintain my "grip" about it. Perhaps trolling was the wrong word . . . how about "ranting"? :)

Please tell us where you work fixing crappy guitars all day for the last 30 years so that we know to never to go there and use your services.

    Thanks
