I’ve been mulling this over for a few days now. I just paid off my Seafoam Pearl Strat like two days ago! I was tempted by a cheap, glossy Epiphoney Lester. I wonder if Mr. Agnesi will call and tell me I’m not “Authentic” enough? I liked the color, and I didn’t want to spend a bunch of money. So another few months and it will be paid off. It’s a good thing I don’t like to party or drink because there went the beer budget! I will do an NGD post when it arrives. The reason I chose the Epi over a real, albeit more stripped down Gibson is because if had so many tuning issues with Gibson’s with the flat crowned frets. It seems that on every Gibson LP I’ve had, which has been 5 of the last 6 actually, the necks move frequently and the strings don’t contact the crown of the fret in the right spot, thus I haven’t been able to play chords in tune. 8D508D59-17AE-44ED-8B75-78B67E22693B.jpeg

Nice LP. Glad I missed all the LP issues by chance.

I had one LP Custom that was great, but the neck was made out of Maple I’m pretty sure. It wasn’t a Richlite one either.

Congrats, and I take it that you aren't married, lol But it's a beautiful guitar and at least get drunk once and play it.

No I am married. She just lets me do what I want. As long as what I want doesn’t involve drink, other women or drugs, I have free reign. She is glad it’s just guitars. Besides she watched me sell 30 guitars a few years ago, when she was unemployed and was having surgeries. It was rough I tell ya. I am allowed to replace them, but I would never want to spend 3 grand or more on a single guitar ever again. I have one really expensive guitar, and I bought it used. The rest are mid priced guitars.

Congrats, and I added my only my Epi (SG) back to the rotation a few hours ago. Every string was still in tune, yeah!

I’ve got a special, locking leather strap, so I won’t even have to replace the strap buttons. It’s left over from my wife’s day of playing a Gibson.

Congratulations! That finish is beautiful. Having just got my new Lester last Thursday, I can say that, as much as I love my Strat, Tele, and Jazzmaster, NOTHING sounds like a Les Paul!
