That's a very nice guitar! I have a 1977 Ibanez Artist 2618 and the best guitar I have owned and played - Ibanez of that era are of the highest quality.

Those artist guitars came with the best action of any guitar I have tried off shelf, almost perfect (for me any way) never got to buy one though.

What don't you like about LPs? Whatever the reasons are, this one has everything you don't like, except for some scroll at the end of the headstock.

I have had a number of LPs but one of my favorites was a 75 Ibanez that was dolled up to look the part....I tracked it down but could not afford to buy it back. Yes, the logo was changed, before I bought it.

They are oddly shaped, the balance feels wrong, the proportions don't fit me, they are just weird little guitars. I do like to look at some of them, a Les Paul gold top among others can look fantastic. I also like to listen when other people play them.

That looks tasty. The chap I play with (before all this stuff) has an Ibanez like this I think. It is very rich sounding.

I’m not a big Les Paul guitar fan, but I was a BIG fan of the man. A number of years ago, my wife and I were staying at a hotel in Manhattan while visiting family. We returned to the hotel and I pulled my Baby Taylor out of the trunk before handing the car to the valet. When he saw the guitar, he asked me if I ever heard of Les Paul. I said “of course”. He then told us Les Paul was playing in the hotel’s basement, which housed the Iridium Room, in twenty minutes. It was a tiny place and Les just played, told stories, and even invited audience members to come up on stage and sing or jam with him! My wife told me to run up to the room and grab my Baby Taylor. Of course I was quite intimidated at the prospect of jamming with Les Paul, and if I were to do it, I’d be too embarrassed to use the Baby Taylor, so I passed. At the time Les was well into his late seventies, but boy could he still play!

Yeah and it has a switch that either splits the neck humbucker or reverse it with itself for a weird lo-fi kind of sound that sounds oddly cool through a Fuzz Face.
