Bedroom to bathroom and halfway, my knees gave out and I collapsed into a bunch of hard tool boxes, It hurt a lot.

On the floor, jabbed by hard plastic, tried to roll onto my gut to lift myself up to where I could stand.

ONe hour later, I was able to stand and pee then walk to the computin' box to post this. Stroke recovery sucks

That sounds terrible. Hope you are OK and not too banged up. The Turks would say geçmış olsun (getch-miss ol-soon)- basically translates to recover soon and/or sorry to hear this happened

    Move those tool boxes.
They have no place betwixt your bedroom and bathroom, a favourite place for falls as you get older.

I hope you are feeling much better now.

Really sorry to hear about that.

It’s obvious by the fact that you posted this that you’ve got a sense of humor and you’re taking this all in stride. No pun intended.

when my dad started falling we installed a life alert type system that would call fire rescue and myself. We also had a lock box installed so the fire rescue folks could get in without breaking the door. Was worth the money.

Wow. A lady I know fell and was unable to get up. She laid there nearly two days before her family got curious and went over. Luckily, she is now back in good health (for her) after considerable mend and therapy. She was unable to reach any of her phones. Her family got her an around the neck 911 button and put in an emergency break panel on her door for responders. To the embarrassment of a couple of us, we expected her at a function the evening she fell...called her when she didn't come--no answer...none of us thought to go to her house and check:(. We do now! I personally could have gone by her home and that door would have been no obstacle. Dangerous stuff. At a minimum, you might want to carry your cell phone until you are sure all this is past.

Glad you are up and about.
